Restorative yoga includes gentle poses that are supported by props and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the heart rate, regulates the blood pressure and relaxes the body. Yin yoga includes holding deep stretch poses for several minutes, with the intention of releaseing stored tension and emotions in the fascial tissues. The combo is the ideal anicdote to modern day lifestyles and trapped stress in the mind, physical & energetic bodies.
